FOLKTALE OF JARATKARU

Along time ago, there lived a good hermit named Jaratkaru. He was a good hermit, because he never forgot about his responsibility as a hermit. Jararatkaru never marry any woman. Everyday, he just praying and doing some other religious activities. And he could go anywhere as he desired.
One day, Jaratkaru could reach the junction between hell and heaven. At there, he saw the decrepit man hang on the brittle bamboo which was being bitten by the rats. “Oh no, what a pity man” , said Jaratkaru.
“If the bamboo not strong again, he will fall down to the hell! I must help him! But, what am I going to do?” The man looked very hurt and tired. Jaratkaru was very sad and thought that the man must be had many sins to be paid.
Then, Jaratkaru approached the decrepit man and offered to give him half of his merit that he got from his good deed in the world. “Why you get here?” said the decrepit man.
“I would like to help you and pay a half sin of you.”
“Are you serious?” said the man.
“Of course!”
“Oh, thanks for your kindness. But, I just want you to tell my son in the earth to get married”, the man answered.
“Okay, but why you get here?” said Jaratkaru.
“Hhh, this happened because my son did not want to get married”. Then, Jaratkaru promised help.
“Who is your son name?”
“Jaratkaru!” asked the man.
“WHAT????”
Jaratkaru was very surprised when he knew that the man’s son was Jaratkaru himself. Jaratkaru cried and felt regret looking at his father was suffered because he did not want to marry. He felt it was so hard to break his conviction.
“I am Jaratkaru dad!”
“Really?” said the man.
“Yes. I apologize for making you suffered, but I did not want to marry dad” said Jaratkaru.
“If you didn’t marry, I will continue to suffer like this!”asked the man.
Jaratkaru cried and cried. His mind was mixed-up. Then, Jaratkaru said “Okay dad, I will marry to fulfill my responsibility as a human being”. Jaratkaru would marry a woman who had the same name with his. And finally, he got a woman named Jaratkaru. This woman actually was a female dragon. She had transformed into a woman. Then, they married and got children.
Jaratkaru had accomplished his responsibility, and his father freed from agonies.
